Baby Basics – New Parent Q & A

child health

16 Mar

In this video, we will cover topics we are often asked for!

Pregnant couples are have a lot of questions and being a first time parent can be confusing with so much conflicting advice out there.

Over at The Nest, we do classes for parents and caregivers, where we do baby and child CPR, first aid, and allergy prevention and management.

So in this video, I wanted to put parents mind at rest, and give you a little bit of advice for that new little one coming into your life.

Here are few questions answered in the video.

Where do I start with weaning and those common allergy foods? How do I feed them to my baby?

If I change my diet when I’m pregnant, will this prevent my child from having food allergies?

How do I know if my baby is allergic to certain foods?

What does an allergic reaction look like?

Should I eat common allergenic foods in pregnancy like peanuts?

Should I get the flu shot when I’m pregnant?

If I change my diet while I breastfeed my baby, will this prevent my child from having food allergies?

Are there any foods I should not feed my child when starting solids?

What do I do if my new baby has a temperature?

We hope this has been helpful for you today.

We hope you enjoyed the whole episode of New Parent Q&A! Our mission is to expecting parents, existing parents to cut through the clutter of anxiety and worry when it comes to their new baby’s health and wellbeing.

We want you to equip yourself with knowledge so you could trust that you have all the tools in your nest to keep your baby safe and well, so you can stop googling, and come away more confused than when you started, you have landed in our well-feathered nest and we’ve got your back, every step of the way!

👶🏼 Baby Eczema
Eczema (also known as atopic dermatitis) is most common in babies, in fact, it affects 1 in 5 children under the age of 2 years.

It can also occur in older children and adults but usually improves with age.
Although eczema can be effectively treated and managed, no cures are currently available.

Why people develop eczema, is still not well understood but it is common for babies with eczema to develop allergies.
